N96 a success or a failure?

On the Pspezone pages, S.Manimaraa poses the conundrum of whether the N96 has achieved its aims or whether it has failed.
He says first of all that the device is ‘not a big leap’ from the N95 8GB in that it has a large screen, GPS and a 5MP camera but goes on to stress that this Nseries has 16GB in built memory and the TV receiver. He includes a comment from a reader that states the N96 is ‘like a stretched N81’.
Do you agree that it is a stretched N81, or that it isn’t much of an upgrade from the N95 8GB? What are your experiences of the device? Jump over and let S.M know your thoughts.
