Youtube on your S60 device
December 7th, 2007
A regular topic across the forums, is how users can view Youtube videos on their S60 device. Until now, the usual choice has been a portal like m.vtap.com, but no longer, as new options are afoot…
Vaibhav Sharma at The Symbian Blog has put together a guide on how to download Youtube videos to your device. There’s a bit of work involved, but it is a free solution and just might work for you.
And, in a neat coincidence, Devin Ballentina of The Nokia Guide has an alternative method for those times you have access to the extra processing power of a PC.
What do you think of these techniques? Would you use them? Jump over and leave a comment for Vaibhav here or Devin here.

Nokia acquires Twango: good for your Nseries?
July 26th, 2007
Jonathan Greene of atmaspheric | endeavors has been musing over Nokia’s recent acquisition of the social media site Twango. This new ‘endeavour’ for the Nseries will allow for more seamless integration for your device’s videos, pictures and audio with the rest of the internet world.
Jonathan isn’t so sure that Nokia have made the best move here, saying that their focus is on the wrong place, with the Twango developments complicating connectivity rather than simplifying it. Whether you agree with him or you think Nokia are making the correct steps, let him know.

Steve Litchfield has released episode 35 of his Smartphone Show, in which he does a hands-on review of the N76. Whilst he thinks getting the Symbian S60 operating system in a great design like the N76, he does think in the real world the N76 is a bit of a finger-print magnet.
Jump over to watch lots of handy tips on how to extend your battery-life on your Nseries or any other device as well, and put your comments in the All About Symbian forums. And of course it’s a great way to see how the N93 holds up in the production of a great online show.
And the ’show off your talent’ competition is still rocking over at Nseries.com, if you want to win an N76 with your very own design on it, jump over and join in.
