Mazor, from the Symbian-Freak forums and blog, has put together a tight image comparison of the N93 and N82. Although the N93 lacks in mega pixel rating against the N82, and lacks the Xenon flash, it’s still a pretty hard hitting image capable device and puts up a good fight.

Nseries leading the way on video and imaging?

March 5th, 2008

James Burland at Nokia Creative has been musing on the quality of video that mobile devices such as the Nseries line-up produce. It is his view that before long they will be spitting out HD quality footage, and the Nokia Nseries, of course, will be leading the pack. What do you think? Head over to join the discussion.

This approach has also led Symbian Guru Ricky Cadden to ask whether people are now using their Nseries to replace a digital camera in day-to-day circumstances. Are you? Jump over to leave a comment on Ricky’s article.

And if that was enough check out the Nokia Creative N95 photo awards for February and see what people have been achieving with the N95 this month.

Panoramic shots made easy

December 19th, 2007

One of the great aspects of having an Nseries device in your pocket is the ability to get decent snaps while you’re out and about. Sometimes however, you can’t quite fit your newly discovered vista into one shot.

Step forward therefore Panoman 3.0 which has just been released. Zach at Symbian In Motion is a fan of the application that allows you to take and stitch together up to 12 full scale images. He has written up the new features in the latest release, as well as providing some sample images.

September 3rd, 2007

iGadgetlife blogger, Nechbi, has put together a great little post on the N95 and N93i, pitting them against each other in a battle of the images.

Quick: N95vs N93i image comparison

August 6th, 2007

Ray Pune, from the ‘yet another symbian blog’ has put together a quick comparison of the N93i and the N95’s image taking capabilities.

Interestingly he puts the N95 on par with the N93i, reducing its image resolution to 3mega-pixels, then snapping away. The N95 still beats the N93i though, with better colours, at least that’s what Ray thinks, jump over to look and comment.

Nokia acquires Twango: good for your Nseries?

July 26th, 2007

Jonathan Greene of atmaspheric | endeavors has been musing over Nokia’s recent acquisition of the social media site Twango. This new ‘endeavour’ for the Nseries will allow for more seamless integration for your device’s videos, pictures and audio with the rest of the internet world.

Twango on the N95

Jonathan isn’t so sure that Nokia have made the best move here, saying that their focus is on the wrong place, with the Twango developments complicating connectivity rather than simplifying it. Whether you agree with him or you think Nokia are making the correct steps, let him know.
