N95 gets the video nod
March 25th, 2008
Eminent video blogger Steve Garfield has published his personal 3 step guide to video streaming on the go. Why is that of note? Because Steve gives the nod to the N95-3 as his preferred mobile camera unit of choice. Being in the States Steve plumps for the version that will work on the US 3G networks to give the best performance. Jump over to leave your comments on the subject.
If you’re not just into streaming, but recording fully fledged movies on your Nseries device, check out Pangea Day over on Share On Ovi where you can film what inspires you and upload your creations to be part of the 2008 Nokia Mobile Filmmaking awards.

Steve Litchfield’s Smartphone Show is a must watch for any smartphone fan, with some of the best reviews and insight around, Steve knows his stuff and actually films the show on the Nseries N93.
This time around the show concentrates on where to get your Christmas smartphone bargains, some HTC reviews and interesting tips on how to get the most out of your device, like using Nokia’s ‘One Click Touch’ for instant net access on your laptop via your device. Overall a cool look at how you can videocast with your Nseries device. Jump over to the Youtube page to comment and ask any questions.

Youtube on your S60 device
December 7th, 2007
A regular topic across the forums, is how users can view Youtube videos on their S60 device. Until now, the usual choice has been a portal like m.vtap.com, but no longer, as new options are afoot…
Vaibhav Sharma at The Symbian Blog has put together a guide on how to download Youtube videos to your device. There’s a bit of work involved, but it is a free solution and just might work for you.
And, in a neat coincidence, Devin Ballentina of The Nokia Guide has an alternative method for those times you have access to the extra processing power of a PC.
What do you think of these techniques? Would you use them? Jump over and leave a comment for Vaibhav here or Devin here.

November 15th, 2007
The Smartphones Show from All About Symbian’s Steve Litchfield is a fantastic resource of news and reviews for those who want to give their eyes a rest from too much reading.
The last few shows have included a brief look at the N81 8GB and a full review of the N95 8GB along with the usual industry news, so take a look now.
Not only can you get your fill of smartphone goodness, but since the show is also filmed on an N93, it is a wonderful starting point for anyone looking to see what exactly can be achieved with the device.

Jazz man on N93i
October 10th, 2007
Jose_R.A.M has posted a video at My Nokia Blog of the Jazz man on Santa Monica pier shot on an N93i. Using a tripod gives stability and avoids the wobble that is associated with handheld recording devices, some of the video quality is lost through Youtube, but as you can see it’s pretty good.
Comment on this video, if you have any questions and add your own thoughts on using Nseries devices to record moving pictures.

N95: Smartphone or laptop?
October 3rd, 2007
Steve Litchfield, from the Smartphone Show, is trying to decide whether a mobile device will ever be able to replace a laptop. The latest edition of his Smartphone show attempts to answer this question. He uses just an N95 and a Bluetooth keyboard for a week, see how he copes here.
After watching the show, leave a comment. Steve always records the Smartphone show on the N93, so if you want to get an idea of how the device is for a serious videocast show, this is a great example.
