Nokia Open Lab… reflections
September 16th, 2008
Well, it’s been a couple of days since Nokia Open Lab 2008 ended and the attendees have started to reflect on what they got out of the event.
Steve Lawson, aka solobasssteve has written up some of his first impressions on his blog which should whet your appetite for what else he has to say in the near future. So too has Steve Rumsby, who has given his overview of how he experienced the event. Both give good insight into what took place, and how they were able to connect with the discussion happening around them. Definitely some ideas there to get anyone interested thinking.
There’ll surely be plenty more news, views and general insights from the event in the coming days, but for the mean time here’s CT Moore from Gypsy Bandito and Phil Campbell of me.dm with their closing thoughts while still on Finnish soil.

The future of entertainment from Nokia Open Lab…
September 12th, 2008
Workshop number three from Nokia Open Lab here in Helsinki saw the attendees discuss how they thought the future of entertainment consumption would pan out, with some intriguing ideas.
The main areas covered were music, film, gaming and ‘a new future entertainment’ with each of four groups presenting their thoughts on how these areas would progress in the coming years. The ‘new entertainment’ of course, saw them create something entirely unique that may become common place in 5 - 10 years time.
Check out the video of the introduction below…
…and then have a look at what everyone came up with…
