6210 Navigator screen test
March 19th, 2009
Tam has had the 6210 Navigator in his hands for a few days, and time has come to perform his screen tests.
He compares the screen of various devices in various full colour forms, and one of those up for comparison is the N96 (which is on the right):
Tam reckons the Nseries device stood ‘no chance’ and reckons the 6210’s screen is ‘one of the best currently available’. Do you agree? Let him know.

Navigate round the 6210
March 6th, 2009
Tam has taken his 6210 and given it the ‘will it work?’ treatment, and the results are encouraging.
He reckons the ’simple slider’ kicks the recent trend towards solid candy bar form factors, and the keypad is ‘very good’. He found the build quailty to be ’sturdy’ but somewhat frustrating, having a hard time removing the back cover. Overall, an ‘oddball’ device.
But what do you think? Have you navigated with the device? Let Tam know what you think.

6210 Navigator tried without GPS signal
January 22nd, 2009
bullsworld2007 has been trying to use a 6210 Navigator from the comfort of his own home (not wishing to venture out into the ‘horrible’ conditions outside).
Without a GPS signal he gives us his initial impressions of the device - and despite the fact that the design has let him down as far as keypad accessibility goes, he thinks the 6210 isn’t too ’simplistic’. He approves of the menu layout, the video playback and the sound quality is ‘better than most laptops’.
Have you used the 6210 outdoors yet? What are your thoughts and impressions? Let bullsworld2007 know, leave him a comment.

December 26th, 2008
There’s a nice guide from Mark Guim over on The Nokia Blog - either for you, or for someone you know who’s picked up a Nokia this Christmas.
The guide works for most devices and should help you to get the best out of your handset. Check it out, or pass it on and make sure that ‘new shiny toy’ (as Mark puts it) gets off to a great start.
What do you think? Any other tips you would offer new Nokia users? Head over and leave your comments.

Some thoughts on Nokia Friend View
December 16th, 2008
Mark Guim over at The Nokia Blog has been looking at Nokia location and micro-blogging tool Friend View and noted a few issues with the service.
The main problem he has found is that not enough of his close friends are using Friend View for it to be worth his time. In the comments Andrew also points out that he doesn’t like the thought of his girlfriend knowing his every movement(!) Have you tried using Friend View? Do you have something to add to this discussion? Share your thoughts here.

December 15th, 2008

The package in question turned out to have the 6210 Navigator device inside, as well as a BH-602 headset. The map theme also tied in to Maps 3.0 which was launched at Nokia World earlier in the month. Look out for Varun’s review of the whole package very soon…
