Chaos Inc has put together a neat list of the most useful Python and Accelerometer based applications over at Nokia Symbian Themes. There’s a good range in there from classic solutions such as rotate me (if you’re still toting an older handset) to utilities that will send you to tweaking nirvana.

There’s a nice guide from Mark Guim over on The Nokia Blog - either for you, or for someone you know who’s picked up a Nokia this Christmas.

The guide works for most devices and should help you to get the best out of your handset. Check it out, or pass it on and make sure that ‘new shiny toy’ (as Mark puts it) gets off to a great start.

Some thoughts on Nokia Friend View

Mark Guim over at The Nokia Blog has been looking at Nokia location and micro-blogging tool Friend View and noted a few issues with the service.

The main problem he has found is that not enough of his close friends are using Friend View for it to be worth his time. In the comments Andrew also points out that he doesn’t like the thought of his girlfriend knowing his every movement(!) Have you tried using Friend View? Do you have something to add to this discussion? Share your thoughts here.

It’s Nokia enhancement time…

He’s put together a nice little video looking at the latest accessory releases from Nokia World. There’s the DC-11 battery pack, CS-10 Internet Stick and a host of bluetooth headsets all ably demonstrated in full technicolor!

James Burland has brought his Nokia Creative readers an example of the video capabilities of the 6220. Recorded at a gig, the lighting is quite low, but James reckons it’s a ‘gem’ nonetheless.

Marknotgeorge has got himself a 6220 Classic as a replacement for his N73, and brings us his thoughts over on his blog.

His initial reaction was ‘extremely positive’, as he found the 6220 to be appreciably lighter. He said the screen seemed brighter, and the whole experience was ‘slicker’ than the older N73. He passes comment on virtually every aspect of the handset, so head over if you’re thinking of getting your hands on one, and ask him for any details you might need.

Tonight sees the UK premiere of the movie Twilight, and Maggie writes on her I’m Still Wandering pages that she’s going to be there, and live-blogging using a Nokia 6220.

She promises photos and video, and her excitement is clear to see (hopefully she’ll be able to hold the ‘fancy new Nokia’ device steady during her interviews). Stay tuned to her site during the evening to see what happens, and whether she manages to get her hands on the stars.

Faith Hill has shared her thoughts on the Nokia 6220 and reckons the connectivity ‘delights’.

The ‘extremely feature rich’ handset offers users many ways to connect, and she uses the transfer of data from one handset to another as an example. As far as the design goes, she thinks the 6220 is ‘graceful’ and the lack of weight is a bonus. She thinks large internal memory allows the device to run faster, and lets you store lots of info.
