Cj has posted a video of him unboxing his E71, maybe a little late, but serves as a good reminder for those caught up in the excitement of other device launches.
Mute except for the lovely sounds of the birds, the video shows the device from every angle and the full box contents.

E71 unboxing video and thoughts

Mickyfin, on his blog, has posted his unboxing video of the E71. In an extensive look at everything from the box to the contents (including the device, of course), he brings his readers all the information they could want if they were thinking of getting hold of this device.

Two views of the E66…

If you’re looking for a run-down of the E66 today then you’re in luck…
Phat^Trance from Daily mobile has posted his review repurposed FriedBrains original thoughts on the device and it’s an in depth affair with images, comments and specs galore. Meanwhile, the guys on GoHots.com have set about their own review, with their own sense of style and panache. Lots of info in both posts - a great starting point for the E66 fan.

It’s slim, it’s sleek, it’s sexy. It’s kravvykrav’s first look at the E71

The new business model to be launched later this year has generated plenty of discussion on the space, so does the E71 live up to expectations? kravvykrav (a.k.a. Noah from PhoneDog) takes his first look.
For one reason or another the E series hasn’t been as popular in the US as it has in Europe but this ‘very powerful’ new model is about to change that. Its styling isn’t completely different to older models, but the stainless steel casing and dual menus have proved popular already. One common complaint about business devices is their thickness, but not anymore! The E71 measures ‘a mere’ 10mm in depth, making it the slimmest business device on the market, a fact well illustrated when compared to the Blackberry 800w and Palm Treo Horizon. And this device is definitely business focused, with quick keys to calendar and email functions, as well as quick email and messaging setup. With a full QWERTY keyboard, S60 operating system and WiFi this phone certainly set Noah’s pulse racing.

E71 reviewed on video

Episode 61 of The Smartphones Show is now ready for consumption and features an in-depth look at the E71.
See Steve Litchfield introduce the device in full video technicolor, with plenty of screen time for the E71 (to show off just how thin it is) and live screen shots. There is a full review there, but highlights crop up at the end including Steve’s love for the D-pad and an idea of just how good the battery life is on the E71.

E71: the story so far

The E71 has been in the hands of Ben Smith of SMS Text News who has realised that the device isn’t as perfect as he’d suspected it might be.
That said, it certainly isn’t a bad handset in Ben’s opinion, indeed its very good - it just isn’t as great as it could be, and that’s always frustrating. He is a fan of the form factor, size and style of the E71 as well as the battery life and GPS, but let downs creep in on the email front which is annoying for such a messaging-centric device.
