Norman John Christian from Symbian World has taken some pictures with the 3.2MP camera on the N78, and shares them with his readers.
He says the device is good for taking pictures that ‘don’t need to be perfect’ and the LED flash captures well in low light conditions but there is quite a lot of ‘noise’ on the final images. Check the picture below and see what you think of the final product.
Is there anything you’d like to ask Norman John Christian about the N78’s camera? Do you think the images stand up to close scrutiny? Head over and leave him a comment with your thoughts.

Feast your eyes on the N78’s software offering…
September 15th, 2008
It’s time for the N78’s software implementation to go under the microscope courtesy of Meraj Chhaya over on Phone Report v2.0.
While he doesn’t consider web, multimedia or camera applications (saving these for another time) this post does look at everything else Symbian S60 v3 FP 2 has to offer on the N78, and serves up more than 350 screenshots (!) so you can see exactly what the N78 has going on under the hood.

In depth N78 review
September 10th, 2008
Over on Things About Phones, Henry has written his thoughts on the N78 in a long review.
A ‘multimedia device designed to fit into the palm of your hand’, the N78 has been designed ‘with sleekness in mind’ according to Henry. He goes on to outline all the features that have been included for the ‘trend setting user’, and concludes by commenting on the ease of use of the device – he thinks it has everything you need ‘at your fingertips’.
What do you think of the N78? Have you managed to get your hands on to compare it to your current device? Jump over and let Henry know what you think.

N78 camera in the picture…
July 21st, 2008
Continuing their time with the Nokia N78, the guys over at Talk About Nseries have published an article focusing on the camera capabilities of the device.
jamespowell1989 runs through the N78’s camera and associated software giving a welcome overview of the whole photography experience rather than just some stats about the camera itself. The results are all very positive, with improvements to image browsing implemented in FP2 of S60 a definite plus for James while the shots themselves come out great. Jump over to see some examples, and read more about why James would happily recommend the N78 for your photography needs.

N78 takes *stunning* pictures
July 10th, 2008
Daniel has taken his N78 on holiday with him, and the results of his photography with his N78 are nothing short of remarkable.
For those who think the 3.2MP unit of the N78 is inferior to the mighty 5MP packed into the N95 might want to check out Daniel’s Flickr photostream that contains some might examples of the power of the ‘lesser’ camera. The snap below is just one of many wonderful photos… so sit back and enjoy.
Are these the best examples of photos taken with a Nokia device that you have seen? Leave Daniel a comment on his Flickr stream, and show him some of your own work.

N78 features put to the test
July 4th, 2008
The N78 is still out and about gathering reviews from around the space.
p@sco at jaspp.net has been comparing the N78’s camera to that on the N95 8GB and has published a whole selection of photos taken in different situations to highlight the differences.
Elsewhere, tashedwards89 of Talk About Nseries has been exploring that keypad on the N78, to give an in depth view of how it feels. Tash reckons you can quickly get used to the keypad over a couple of days, and sees the general layout of all keys (including D-Pad etc) as being nicely spaced.

N78, E66 and E71 under the microscope
June 23rd, 2008
Dotsisx over at Symbian Guru has been hard at work bringing a veritable smorgasbord of reviews for all you Nokia fans out there.
The N78, E66 and E71 all get the once over with pictures, thoughts and general comments from Dotsisx from hands on time with the devices. S60 3rd edition FP2 is the ace up N78’s sleeve while the E66 comes out as ’sexy and solid’ and the E71 blows Dotsisx with its sheer size - or rather lack of it!

N78 review (US version…)
June 12th, 2008
Lisa Gade over on Mobile Tech Review has got her hands on the N78 (US version) and given it a first review.
Even though the review is based on a first day of use (keep an eye out for the full review coming soon) there is plenty to get your teeth into including some image samples from the camera and details on making use of the HSDPA speeds attainable with the device. Lisa also found usability, including the keypad, to be better than expected - overall a good score for the N78.
