Over at Nokia Creative, James Burland has been busy dishing out the gongs, this time for photographs captured with the N82.
James reckons the device has ‘everything the N95 has and more’, including the ‘lovely’ xenon flash. He says it’s faster and more versatile, and in the right hands the ‘Silver Snapper’ is possibly the best camera-toting device to be had. The evidence is pretty strong if you look at the photographs. If photography is top of your list of must-haves in a device, this post is a good place to start when making up your mind.

The audio test: N95-4 vs N82
June 27th, 2008
When your car stereo conks out, what do you do? Sing to yourself as you trundle about, or employ the services of a high end Nseries device? The answer is the latter, obviously. At least it is if you’re Mobile Dan!
When testing the N95 and N82 on the same track, with the same settings, the N82 was found to be marginally better, when listening in a moving car through the speakers. There wasn’t much in it, but the N82’s speakers seemed to cope better with louder volumes. Dan also mentions the other audio facets (storage, headphones sound) as well as more general features of the two devices in this post, so head over if you’re looking for a new comparison.
What are your experience of the audio capabilities on the N95 8GB and the N82? Jump over to leave your comments.

N82 wins another fan
June 24th, 2008
Another good review from Erazer007 over at Cellular: A Phone Blog, and this time its the N82.
In the thumbs up category for the device, we find the camera (with its flash) and the screen, while there’s a thumbs down for the ‘unusual keypad’ and bad speakers. Overall however, Erazer007 doesn’t think these negatives do much to dent the N82’s reputation as a top notch multimedia device.

Nseries cameras: time to show off
June 24th, 2008
It’s that time again, James Burland over on Nokia Creative has published the winners of the regular Nokia Creative N95 Photo Awards.
As ever the selection features some great shots taken on the N95, all of which show off quite what can be achieved with the stalwart Nseries.
In other photo related news, Hamidi over on the Mobile Review forums has been pitching the N82 against the Samsung U900 and published some comparison shots which are worth a look.

N82 ‘real world review’ plus Google Reader update
June 13th, 2008
Over on The Symbian Blog, Vaibhav Sharma has posted both a ‘real world review’ of the N82 (black) and some info on an update to Google Reader for S60.
Taking Google Reader first, Vaibhav reports on an update to Google Reader as rendered on some S60 devices (not E61i for example). He also includes screenshots from his E90 and N95. RichB commenting, doens’t like the new look, though Vaibhav is beginning to get used to it.
Meanwhile, the black N82 has been wooing Vaibhav who finds it ‘much more appealing’ than the silver version. Having reviewed it from a tech point of view already, he looks at what friends and family think of the device and reports their views. Jump over from some interesting insights.

N95-4 tested and compared to the N82
June 13th, 2008
Over on MobileDan the man himself has been comparing the N95-4 with the N82 having been fortunate enough to have both to play with at the same time (not to mention the N800 pictured below!).
Coming from a couple of months with the N82, Dan was particularly keen to try out the 3G capabilities on the N95-4 as well as being charmed by the much larger screen. Unfortunately he didn’t have a lot of time to test 3G given local coverage, but he did give other features a work out.
Jump over to find out what he thought, including his views in comparing the N82 and N95-4 cameras. Is there anything else you’d like to see covered? Why not leave Dan a comment.

N82 silver vs N82 black
May 27th, 2008
Mike, from the N82 blog, has been lucky enough to have his hands on both the original N82 silver, and the recently released N82 black. He concludes that the N82 black seems to be superior in build quality, and he’ll be going for one as soon as he’s got the money.
What brings him to want the black version over the original? He can feel better build quality in the black version, and he’s sold on the colour. If you’re thinking about which one to go for at the moment, or looking at changing from the silver to the black version, this is definitely the review to read. Leave your own opinions and questions in his comments section.

N82 photo shootout
May 27th, 2008
Al Pavangkanan over at The Nokia Blog has put the N82 through it’s paces, in a prolonged photo session he had at a concert he recently went to. Taking over 100 photos during the course of the evening he said the battery really impressed, still having 3 bars left after the night had ended.
If you’re looking at grabbing an N82 but want a look at how the Xenon flash performs under night conditions, and indoors at a concert, then there’s some uploaded images to give you an idea. Jump over for the full review and images, and if you need to ask Al any questions in the comments section.

First impressions of the N82 Black
May 7th, 2008
Since almost the moment the N82 was launched in all its silvery glory fans longed for color variations. Well, now the black N82 is upon us is it the outfit everyone was waiting for?
Mike at The N82 Blog loves the black version, even if it is a massive finger-print magnet, and has provided a great selection of images (though he reckons the device looks even better in the flesh).
Devin Balentina has also been noting his thoughts on the black N82 over on The Nokia Guide. He reckons that black versions of any device give it a whole new lease of life, and the N82 is no different. He also mentions what seem to be improvements to the keypad.
Jump through the links above to check Devin and Mike’s full articles and leave any comments you have on the black N82 - love it, or hate it?
