On the Andy Animation pages Andy himself is grudgingly admitting that although he didn’t want to like the N900, he did. He reckons that the N900 makes the HTC Hero (he did a comparison) look ‘out of date’, and the open nature of Maemo makes it ‘possibly the best mobile OS [he's] ever used!’.

‘Lightning’, in this case is metaphorical. He is, in fact, referring to whether the E72 can further raise the bar that was set so high by the E71.
