New N97 firmware videos

Over at My Nokia Blog, Jay has been filming the N97 complete with the v11.0.021 firmware update.
Despite having a slightly slower start up, there are several bug fixes that Jay says iron out some of the frustrations from before the update - one of which is the transition speed:

Dotsisx speaks on the N97 keyboard

Over at Symbian Guru, Dotsisx has posted her thoughts on the keyboard of the N97 in a video. She covers the couple of things she really doesn’t like such as the small Symbol button, before going on to challenge the detractors to type the 3 sentences she says are needed to get used to the keyboard.

His initial thoughts are that the slide is as smooth as one of those ‘expensive soft close kitchen drawers’. High praise, but he’d still prefer it in black.

Following his excitment at getting hold of the device, he posted his thoughts after having a good look round all of its facets. The keypad gave him some concern, but the 5MP camera seemed a welcome addition. And all this without even turning it on!

An E75 unboxing

What, no N97 article? Well we thought we’d give the Eseries fans a look in. Gwapz from Mobile World Innovation has got his hands on an E75, and has posted his unboxing video.
He says the device is Eseries typical, having that ‘touch of sleekness’ and the numeric buttons felt ‘really comfortable’.
He promises more in a review, so watch out for detailed thoughts, but in the mean time, head over and let him know if there’s anything you’d like him to look at in detail.
